If you have Windows 7 or are about to buy a computer with Windows 7 forget this printer. Less than a year old and now I need another printer.

Will not print with 64 bit Windows 7

I bought this printer for its laser print qualities. My previous printer didn't feed pages properly and this one doesn't either but that's not a big deal for me as I send very few multiple page faxes. When I do, I just feed one page at a time. Receiving faxes, or copying, it feeds properly. The print quality is excellent, print speed is OK, and it's reasonably priced.

My biggest problem is that I cannot print from my computers that run 64 bit Windows 7. There is no driver available, a major inconvenience. I contacted Canon and they referred me to one of their technicians. He did not believe Canon would write a 64 bit driver for Windows 7 as they did not write a driver for 64 bit Vista!

Feeder Does Not Work -- Ever

I bought this machine to replace my old fax for one reason: to feed a large stack of documents. The mfg says the feeder holds up to 30 pages. But the fact is, since it was brand new, it cannot feed multiple pages. Not even two pages. Not standard paper, not thick paper, not thin paper. I note that on the canonusa website this model gets a very low two stars (46 reviewers). I have a friend with the same model fax, and it has the exact same problem. Too bad, because the rest of the features and performance is good. Buy this machine ONLY if you fax SINGLE sheets.

This fax works great with Windows Xp, not with Vista, I downloaded the driver for Win Vista from Canon website, but it didn't work. So if you think to use this product in computers with Vista, think it again.
